Botanical Property Surveys

We want to help you get to know your land.

Have you always wondered what you can safely eat or work with as an herb? Do you want to develop a deeper relationship with the land you live on?

We offer botanical property surveys just for you, near Asheville, NC and virtually!

Go on a personalized plant walk on your property with Abby!

At your Botanical Property Survey, you'll learn all about the plants that grow on your property. As you reconnect with the wild, you'll be empowered with information and know-how to forage for delicious foods and turn wild herbs into medicine.

In-person Botanical Property Surveys are limited to the Western North Carolina region. Not local? That’s ok! We offer Virtual Surveys.

How It Works:

Local Surveys

Part 1: Chat & Schedule

Email Abby to schedule your Exploration Call so you can discuss the size and location of the land you’re wanting to learn about during your botanical property survey. Ideally, you'll do a survey in 3 seasons (Spring, Summer, and Fall) because new plants are growing and blossoming at different times of year.

The price for a Botanical Property Survey is $999 (plus transportation fees) for the first two hours and $100 for each additional hour, to be paid ahead on Venmo, PayPal, bank transfer, or by check.

If you have a large property, want something longer or more detailed, or are interested in learning what is growing through each seasonal change, we can discuss how to make that happen.

Part 2: The Walk

Abby will come to your location and spend a couple hours walking the land with you. You'll get to go for a botanical discovery of your property with a botanist, forager, herbalist and wildcrafter with over 20 years experience teaching people how to reconnect with the land and empower themselves with the knowledge and the know-how of all things wild. The walk takes at least a couple of hours, and you will get to ask burning questions you've been dying to have answered.

Be prepared... Have landscaping flags and permanent markers on hand to mark your plants, something to take notes and pictures with, and even draw a map to help yourself remember what you learn and where it’s located.

Follow the instructions we'll send on how to set up your phone or computer with Zoom if it isn’t already set up. If you don’t have data reception where you live, or you’d rather do it inside on your computer, just bring the plants you most want to know about (or several pictures of each one), and we can Zoom inside.

Part 2: The Walk

Follow the instructions we'll send on how to set up your phone or computer with Zoom if it isn’t already set up. If you don’t have data reception where you live, or you’d rather do it inside on your computer, just bring the plants you most want to know about (or several pictures of each one), and we can Zoom inside.

We will get on ZOOM and start our botanical plant survey at the scheduled time.

During our time together, we focus on a few plants and help you understand your connection to them better through some practical tips on identification and their benefits as food and medicine.
